Getting Colder and Time for Wool

I am getting ready for the Kansas City Fiber and Weavers Guilds big fall show on Nov 18 and 19.  So, I am dyeing wool and spinning and felting and making glass and crocheting!  We plan to have 63 artists there this year.  Should be wonderful!

Wait! They're not Boston Terriers!

Yes, this is Celeste's canine friend, Lu.  He is really a sweet dog!

Pepper

We have a rescued little Boston lady dog from a breeder.  Pepper (in the red harness) is staying with us for a few days and then going into Foster care.  Chiquita got her dancing this morning.  Thought you all might enjoy a video!  (I tried to get my blog server to post a higher quality video.  But, it is being stubborn!)

Horse

I haven't given up on oil painting!  Just slowed down a bit.  Here is a little 5x7 of a horse.  He makes a living taking boy scouts for trail rides at Camp Geronimo.  Wow.  That is a tough way to earn hay!

Fired Up

Although I have only fired one kiln load of glass since April, this week I got in the mood to make little buttons to go on some of my felted scarves and crocheted hats.  So, I got busy and fired three loads of glass.  Of course, I had to fire up lots of pieces for earrings and pins and buttons, too!

Poodle

Sometimes I like my fast sketches the best.  This is a little 5 inch by 5 inch oil painting of our nephew's poodle.

Stems Plein Air 2011

Wow the weather this year for the two week paint out at the Overland Park Stems Plein Air contest was wild!  The first week it was 50 degrees and raining.  The next week was 90 degrees and steamy.  But, I did submit this little 5x7 rose painting.
